What causes the white line on your nails?!
Question: its liek bright white and happens i think during a certain kind of deficiancy? liek protien or soemthing. but as your nail grows out the line reamins as it grows...until you can cut it off wehn it grows out enough...knwo what i mean

Yes, I have those. They're just from a lack of calcium and vitamin E. they wont go away very fast and they're not harmful to you, just a warning sign.
Either vitamin deficiency or you were sick.
Kali S is correct.....you should have blood work done to find out how deficient you are and what vitamins and minerals are low....Good luck.....
I thought they were calcium DEPOSITS...from an overabundance of calcium....
Try getting your thyroid checked...my mom has hypo thyrodism and she had those lines on her nails....your thyroid produces your hormones and if it is not working proberably your nails will not get the nutrients and hormones they need to grow the right way...go to the doctor and get it checked out ...good luck.
