Ouch my Stitches HELP!!?!


Question: I got stitches few month ago on my shoulder
the skin is still really red and not perfectly healed
However today I banged my shoulder on a corner of a door and now I it is even redder and feels like I got bruised?
will it be ok?

You don't want to get bacteria in it, it sounds like it may be infected. To clean it every night simply use "gauze" It is a special type of kleenex. DO NOT use kleenex toilet paper, wet cloth or soap on it. Also use this and wear the stiches aren't just around the outside tape it, but make sure the tape is not covering the stiches, because you don't want to rip them out. This will prevent bacteria from getting out, though it still needs to be cleaned.

Wait two days, if the area is still red and tender, you possibly have an infection. However, I think not. Is the area warm to the touch? Put some tea tree oil on your wound to prevent infection and speed healing/reduce scarring.

Put an ice bottle on it immediately, take motrin, u should be okay.
