Is washing your hair after a trip bad for your health?!
Question: i just got home from school where it always takes me 1 and a half hour to travel to and from. when i got home, i washed my hair. and after seeing me, my dad reacted violently. saying that it is bad for me. i asked why.. and as usual he doesn't know. but still he insisted that it is wrong. it just is because he says so.
i just want to know what is the scientific or logical explanation why it is wrong or bad, if it is really bad for me...
or if it does not affect anything about me...

I think it's some antiquated idea that washing your hair at night or before going outside can give you pneumonia. My dad used to have a cow about me washing my hair and going outside--some idiot air force doctor overseas said that's how my dad got pneumonia the time he had it, and the idea stuck.

if you have a parent that is being violent you need to tell a teacher or another adult. don't worry about your hair right now.
The worst that could happen from too many hair washings is dried out hair.
sounds like your dad has an anger issue, I think he's wrong...I've never heard of washing hair having any health problems
