sex. :) .. but if thats not available.. you might want to take some Tylenol and try to get some sleep.

excedrine

Do things to keep your mind off of it and also relax

rest, breathing, yoga. stuff that calms you down. advil wont really help, IMO

More alcohol

Head-On apply directly to the head

Tylenol Night remedy

No medicine has ever cured my headaches i suffer from chronic migraines..
What works best for me is when i Sit in a quiet dark room &
Apply an ice pack on my forehead or i take a warm bath

If that doesn't work sometimes ~Sleeping~ works wonders, If you can't sleep try taking a walk. You can also ask someone to rub your neck and back..

You can apply gentle, steady rotating pressure to the painful area of your head with your index finger and/or thumb. Maintain pressure for 7-15 seconds, then release. Repeat as needed.
Rest, sit or lie quietly in a low-lit room. Close your eyes and try to release the tension in your back, neck, and shoulders.
If you have excessive muscle contractions in the neck, physical therapy exercises performed daily are often helpful

Sex does help me sleep. I guess that option is not available for everyone.

Medicine for migraines...

I get migraines, if its the day, I load up on advil and sudafed, at night, advil and benadryl (helps make you sleep and with nausea). Also, I use a combination of ice on the forehead and heating pad on neck.

Take a sleep / rest in the arms of your loved one.

Drinking plenty of water can relieve a headache, although it's not very practical at night. Sometimes some peppermint essential oil rubbed into the temples can help, also massaging the temples or area of headache.

Emu Oil (massage on your temples), a Flannel and a dark silent room.. just rest

sumtimes when i eat something it will go away
dont go on the computer or the tv cuz that will make it alot worse
if u have a headache for longer than 2 days thn see a doctor

have u fallen or knocked your head recently?

Tylonol 650 x 2= 1300mg of kick a''s pain reliever.

If you usually drink a lot of caffeinated drinks but haven't today you need caffeine if you haven't had enough water for the day you need water.

maybe you have a migraine. book yourself to see doctor. Drink more water. Hope you feeling better soon.

dont use advil i personally hink advil is weak use motrin and drink a cup of tea an lay down and relax. You problably have the flu. Just hope you dont get a fever same syptoms with the headache happened to me a week ago then folowed by a fever.

Advil liquid gel capsules...

Bayer makes aspirin with caffeine in it that works the fastest for me.

stay awake..n relax by watching discovery channel..
funny?? it works!

just try to close your eyes and relax, good rest will make you feel better

I had a really bad headache yesterday (worse than usual) and I took 3 of the Advil Liqui-Gels. It worked like a dream!!
I had a headache today (less intense) and took two, and it worked great...
I suffer frequently from headaches and what usually works for me is laying down with a bag of ice on my head, or wetting a little towel with some ice water and vinegar (stinky, but it WORKS!! Also works for a fever!!). Sometimes i just stick my head under the faucet and let the cold water run over my head. These things usually work out for me. I hope you feel better!! I know how you feel!!!! =)

Good idea to take Advil. Because Ibuprofen does help with inflammation. Which headaches are from some swelling of the brain. Take some more Advil when it is close to the recommended time. Keeps lights off or dim. Keep the room quiet. You might use a heat pack on your shoulders or lower back to help you relax. Stress is often a cause of headaches, "tension headaches." Some people have found that if they take Advil and drink a Coke- soda pop with it, that helps. Caffeine often can help. Try what works best for you to relax. Take slow deep breaths and concentrate on your breathing. That can help relax and make you sleepy. The body heals best when the body is sleeping. So if not sleeping, just rest.
Sleep well.

drink some water, and some more advil and drink more water and go to sleep.

i get migraines really bad. if i'm on the computer too long, or watching tv at night, i'll get them. usually the only thing that really helps is deep breathing exercises in a dark cool room. pain medicine only masks the pain and you can sometimes get what they call rebound headaches if you take too much medicine. rebound as in the next day or a few hours after you thought the headache was gone. drink plenty of water. hydration is very important. make sure if you're not drinking water, avoid alcohol and stick to decaf. caffeine is a diuretic and makes you loose water. that will just make the headache worse.
good luck. hope you feel better soon and get some rest.

Try taking 3 advil. I get headaches often and will even take up to 4 advil at a time. As long as you don't do it often it should be fine...

William one thing doesn't suit all because every body is different both physically and constitutionally.
Acupuncture suits almost all.

If you are in cold country use all warm things.
Pl try cold water bath and observe if in hot country, if pain increases use warm.
If you have cough/cold body hot water bath will help.
Massage is good thing, pl try. Add sun bath and exercise to it if possible.
Pl try simple acupressure given below for immediate relief.
If it fails you will have to go for Acupuncture.

There is hardly any medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache, Ear ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes.
None of them can be treated with medicine.
Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.

Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point (with round tipped pen/jimmy) 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.

If you do not have any disease then simple stress or hyperacidity could be cause. Trapezitis is also one reason.
You may try paracetamol and ranitidine after contacting your GP.

It depends on what type of headaches your are getting as to what will help. The reference below has 3 common types of headaches and how to differentiate between them and how to approach each type.
