Last night i woke up with the worst cramp in my leg?!


Question: It was in my calf and it hurt this morning, i forced myself to relax the muscle but it felt like the muscle was going in nots? What was this about? and how to relieve the pain?

It sounds like you had a charley horse. They're caused from a lack of potasium in your body. Try eating a lot of potasium rich foods like potatoes or bananas, and you shouldn't have any more leg cramps.

Your body is probably low on potassium.You need foods that's high in potassium but next time you wake up with a cramp like that eat a dash of salt.

I agree with the first answer. You need potassium. Also make sure you stay properly hydrated by drinking plenty of water during the day. One thing you can do to allieviate the cramp in your leg is to stretch the leg out, flex your toes towards the body and then away from you, do this for a few minutes before you get out of bed. Hope this helps.
