How long do you have to wait to play sports again after nose surgery?!

Question: Well, I'm getting surgery on my nose soon. Can somebody tell me how long you have to wait in order to get back up and do physical activities after the procedure? My friend had it and he said he has to wait 1 year. That's wayyy too long, though. Idk if it was specifically for him or if that's normal.
