Will my finger heal now?!
Question: I think I had a hangnail that infected. My finger is swollen, sore and warm now. I clipped the nail around the finger and some pus came out. I sqeezed and a little more came out. I washed it and rubbed alcohol on it and bandaged it up. It is drained now and will heal or what?

Your well knowledged. You know it's infected if it needs draining. So keep the lance going as needed. If not going away after a 4 days, see a doctor. Soak in peroxide that is diluted with water.
Which finger? If the whole finger is warm, sore, and swollen, you need to see a doctor. If it is the index or small finger, you really need to go see someone if it all swollen. If there is just a little swelling around the nail, I would soak it in some warm, salt water and then put triple antibiotic on it. The alcohol is pretty useless, but better than nothing. Let it air dry. Don't wrap it up unless you have to go out or do something like go to work where something might get in it.
