Question: I have had pain my wrist for four three years now. every once in a while i will have shooting pain from just below my thum to my wrist. it puts my in tears. i looked online and read about de quervain's tenosynovitis. i did the Finkelstein test and that hurt like no other. im not sure what to do. i have had 2 cortizone shots already. what should i do for it.

Since you've already had Cortisone injections, you should try splinting and physical therapy as your next option. After that, your only other option would be surgical release. Talk to your doctor ....
It could be what you read.
It could also be carpal tunnel syndrome.
Go back to the doctor, that gave you the cortizone shots.
He will be able to help you, or refer you to a specialist.
