Heres what i did when i lived down in FL. i popped the bubble and put alcohol on it it burns like heck but they won't bother you anymore to keep from getting scars use neosporin it really works and no scars. When i lived in FL i stepped on a nest and had a truckload up my leg i had lot of bubbles and rubbed them with alcohol and they didn't bother me and kept putting neosporin on them and i have no scars.

Living here in Florida it seems common to get zapped by fire ants and here is what I do, I rub peroxide on it and try to keep it moist, also been using a product called Afterbite and have had great results with both of these ,hope this helps.

I don't know of any way to get rid of the bites quickly, but the following might be helpful next time you get bit. (I've had bites last as long as 2 weeks) By the way, if you do break open the pistules, be sure you clean the bite completely and put a band aid on it--just to make sure of no infection.

The treatment for the common local reactions involves trying to decrease the symptoms. This is most often done using hydrocortisone cream and diphenhydramine (Benadryl) to help decrease the itching. There is no medication to counteract the venom. In addition, when the blisters break (usually from scratching) the lesions usually do not become infected. However, if one does become increasingly red, evaluation by a health-care provider is needed.

As soon as you can rub alcohol over the bits, they will not get infected. I know because I have to do it all the time. Do not scratch the bits, yes I know it will be hard to do but that will start the infections at the bite marks sites. The bit marks will go away. But if you scratch you self-raw then they may stay with you. Be aware of where you are and all ways look out for fire ants, and keep rubbing alcohol with you. Rubbing Vitamin K on scars is suppose to help then heal better
