Does Vick's VapoRub work to releive Headaches?!
Question: Hi, this goes along w/ my previous question earlier. Would Vick's VapoRub work to releave a sinus headache? I have a headache that's bugging me between my eyes (right above my nose) & I wanted to ask if I rubbed some VapoRub on it, would that help releave the pain & pressure of the headache (along w/ sleep)?

go to your local health food store and buy some lavendar oil , you can add this to some oil or use neat one drop only and massage into your temples .
also you can buy homeopathic tissue salts for sinus congestion... these two combined should really help and shoulnt be expensive- definitly under ten euro...
If you rub it on your genitals you will no longer realize that you have a headache
nope, it may cause severe burning and itching on your face though. But to relieve a headache, your best bet is either ibuprofen, or if you are heavy coffee drinker, caffeine works great.
i think that is mainly to clear up the nasal passage to the lungs. so i can see it possibly working for a sinus tension headache.
try this for your headache though (i get them often and this always works like a charm!:
-i lay back and balance a cold water bottle on my forehead, kind of between my eyes. yes, i look stupid, but it helps. I'm sure a cold rag with ice in it would have the same effect.
-i continually alternate the cold bottle with massaging my temples and the rest of my head. there is something about applying this external pressure to your head that will minimize the throbbing, It helped my boyfriend's headache the other night too,
-- i hate taking any kind of medicine, but the ONLY pill I have ever taken that work for headaches consistently is Excedrin
