Can your temperature be under 98.3?!

Question: I want to know what the lowest temp my body can be and you are perfectly normal.

Answers: I want to know what the lowest temp my body can be and you are perfectly normal.

Mine runs 97.2 all the time.... Normal body temperature is anywhere from 96.5- 99.5....

In order to establish what a normal temperature for your body is try taking your temperature at the same time each day for a week you will find that your body has a temp thats right for it somewhere in the normal range...

Kowing what's normal for you will help you know when you are running a high temp... For me 103 is considered high as my normal temp runs lower than the standard 98.6....

like 96 or something

mines been 97.0 before and im healthy

I don't know what the lowest temp is, but it is definitely possible that 98.3 is normal for you. I have seen some people w/ temps as low as 95, and they were fine - partly a combination of the specific thermometer used, and the early morning hour that the temp was taken (your temp is lower in the morning, then rises throughout the day).

Yes, it's called hypothermia and Stage 1 - shivers - starts 1 - 2 degrees F. below 98.6.

Mine runs 97.9 almost all the time, it is not considered dangerously low until it is under 95 degrees.

Temperature (C) Symptoms

28 muscle failure
30 loss of body temp. control
33 loss of consciousness
37 normal
42 central nervous system breakdown
44 death

98.6 is the perfect temp, not 96.3

BUT mine is always about 97 and at times 96 no big deal!

If you take certain drugs on a daily basis for a particular health problem, like me, your body temperature can be 95.9, or 96. Therefore the Doc knows by taking my temperature if I am taking my drugs. Some people can have a low Body Temperature and it is normal, it all depends on your own metabolism. Best of Luck
