Smoking Marijunana before surgery?!

Question: about 48 hours ago, i smoked a TINY bit of marijuana for the first time ever. i took about two small drags, and did not even get high. In about 65 hours from now - i have to have a hernia surgery. I do not have to take a drug test - and I am not worried about that.

The only thing I am worried about is that the marijunana might mess with my system, if it's still in my system, when combined with the anestheisa. Is this going to be a problem?

Since it was my first time ever smoking, and I didn't smoke much, i've heard it even leaves your system in 5 days.

Marijuana tends to raise your heart rate and at the same time lower blood pressure. Not the greatest thing if you're undergoing general anestheisa, but since it's been 5 days since you used it all but tiny trace amount of THC is left in your system. You'll be fine.

You should not have smoked in the first place
but as long as you dont smoke it again you should be fine.
but im not an expert

i dont know about what will happen when its combined with the anestheisa but the marijunana stays in your system for 30 days not 5...i wish it did last for five days that would be gravy :)

It can stay in your body up to 30 days or so. THC stores in fat cells in the human body. Make sure the anesthesiologist knows and he or she can make the call.

You'll be fine!

no problem. not enough to matter.

NO Smoking Marijunana

A tiny bit would most likely be gone in 5 days.I smoke regularly and have had a couple surgeries and was honest about my use.The anethesiologist didn't say it would cause problems. He was more concerned with the lorazepam(a type of valium)that I was prescribed by my doctor.
