Pain in leg, read on for more.?!

Question: okay, about 4 mos ago, my left knee (left knee only) started hurting sporadically, mostly just when i had gotten out of dance practice or got done jogging or something. it had gotten more constant, until a week or so ago it was, on a scale of 1-10, a constant 4-6. but a few days ago it just randomly stopped, and i had hoped it would just stay gone, but now it only happens when i am sitting with my leg up on a footstool for a couple of minutes, when i am laying down to go to sleep, or when standing for very long periods of time, but still about a 4-6. i know this sounds wierd, but any ideas on what it is? btw, im only 14.

It could be a bit of numbness of the nerves from staying in the same position for a time (an example only), but the only way to know for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think is going on.

Even before seeing your doctor please let your mom know what's going on so that she can help you keep an eye on the situation to see what they think is going on.

GO TO THE DOCTOR!
I had the same issue with my knee and I had a begign (non-cancerous) tumor that had to be removed. NOT saying that you do, but that you really need to go get it checked out incase it is something serious like that.
