I got out of a cast in 6 days because it was making me crazy and the Dr. forgot how long it had been from the time that he put it on. He told me that if I could walk across the floor he would let me out. They have those casts that are Velcro now and this should make it better to endure. If I could have had one of them I would have stayed with it. The time will pass quickly and you are bound to get a lot of attention from your friends. I hope that you get to feeling better and heal up soon! I will say a prayer for you!

it takes about 4 to 6 weeks to heal up and tell your Doctor the pain meds are'nt working.

6-8 weeks depending on whether or not you stay off of it and treat it nicely. You could make the recovery time much longer by putting any amount of weight on it before that time. You may think about investing in one of those things you see people use to blow air onto a fire when starting or rekindling it as by using it to blow air into your cast will alleviate an itch. Trust me, it's going to itch and drive you nuts so go buy yourself one now before it is too late.

if you broke your ankle ( fracture along the bones) like me and have surgery, it takes about three months just to be able to walk again...

Well, it depends on your age, and what type of break it was - if it was a clean break (no splintering) and the younger you are, the faster it will heal - about 2-6 weeks. Make an appointment to see a doctor this week who can give you more information.

Sorry for what happened to you.
Samething happened to me also..
It deponds on the person, mine took 45 days
But yours might take like 5weeks, deponds on the bone type also..
Wish you a very good healer

4-6- weeks
