Problems swallowing, anyone else had this?.?!

Question: For the last 2 weeks i feel as if i have something stuck in my throat and it just will not move on.

The only way that i can describe it is to say that if feels like i swallowed a big piece of chicken and that it has got stuck.

i know it sounds horrible but i have made my self sick to see if it comes up but no, ive ate dry toast to see if that shifts it but no.

I have been to the doctors and he said just see how it goes, that was 3 days ago, he said he cannot see how it could be anything bad, i have no pain im 33 and never smoked, i am a worrier anyway please give me some advice.

OK! Well i am sure this is nothing serious. First we can rule out any pharyngeal cancer, as you do not smoke, i assume you have no family history of mouth or pharyngeal cancer and you have no pain. It has been 2 weeks so i a confident you have no food in your throat.

Therefore we can quickly focus on a acute condition.

It could be a bit of tonsillitis, check your throat to see if it is reddened, swollen and for any presence of pus (although your doctor should have picked this up).

If you have difficulty breathing sometimes or you feel as though you are not getting as much air as you usually do, it could be epiglottitis

Unfortunately, because i can't physically assess the condition i can't get an accurate idea of what it actually is. The best way to find the cause of your problem is to see another doctor, explain everything that has happened so far and question the possibility of undergoing an endoscopy to find out the true problem.

Until you see another doctor drink plenty of water and stay as rested as possible. If you have difficulty eating, try consume liquid foods for example mash potato, jelly etc. Also try to have some warm (not hot!) drinks as this will assist in tissue repair. You can also consume citrus and things containing vitamin c this may also help. I am sorry i cannot be of more help Good Luck

probably just caused a scaring or a sore were it rubbed too hard on your throat. now stop worring, your not dead yet.

dont worry your fine its nothing bad or u would feel it
