Yes, when I was 3 and we didn't know it at the time but my brother (who jerked the door closed once my finger was in it) shattered the knuckle and growth plate on my left pinky finger. I now call it "stubby pinky" because it quit growing, is freaky-short and has a depression where the knuckle should be. Now THAT is OUCH! That hurt soooooooooooooooooooo bad. I remember it!
