Again...my legs are THROBBING!!!?!

Question: I don't know why, but once in a while my legs KILL!! Kind of like when you get growing pains, but like 50x worse. And its on my lower leg, the calf and shin. I don't know why they hurt, but they do really bad! They hurt extremely when I'm standing, I feel a lot of relief when I sit, but then the pain returns. And it feels better when I really strain the muscle, like move my leg around. I don't know what to do to make it stop. I've tried pain relieving gel, but its only making my eyes burn and my legs are either really freezing or on fire, I can't decide which one. [its just a menthol gel] Why do my legs do this and what can I do to get rid of it?

Here's a possibility, have your doctor check you for Restless Legs Syndrome. It can be horrible. Some symptoms: moving the legs helps relieve it, and it acts up when you try to rest. There are medicines that can help eliminate the muscle spasms.

Try to ice them and keep them warm when you're not icing them. Soak them in hot water, then try cold water. If the pain continues, see a doctor.
