Swollen back and constant ache?!
Question: My boyfriend is 29 and had sudden back ache come on earlier today though he had been doing nothing to cause it. Two muscle-like areas (perhaps lymph glands? I don't know) just either side of his spine in the middle-to-lower back seem swollen and springy. The pain is not getting worse but not getting better hours later. He can move about fine etc. He has no other symptoms. Any ideas?

It sounds like his muscle may be spasming. He should try putting a heating pad on it. If he is not better in a day or 2, he should go to the Dr.
rub his back with Tiger Balm (found at any Shoppers Drug Mart) then wrap it with a tensor bandage. this happens to me alot!
