When should i have my bunion surgery?!

Question: i might need surgery to correct a very mild looking bunion. It doesnt look bad but the pain is severe. the problem is that i dont know when to schedule it because my spring break is the week of the 17th and i was planning on going to my grandmas. if i scheduled it before spring break do you think i could still go to my grandmas? do you think i would be able to walk even a little bit?

When I had bunion surgery I had to be on crutches for 6 weeks. I could get around but needed a great deal of help around the house and needed crutches to move at all.

Good luck with your surgery.

Honestly, I'd get some good orthotics and an AWESOME pair of shoes. There are wide-toed shoes you can get that will give you a lot more room and won't let your bunion rub. Orthotics will help you walk correctly and could help your pain a little bit. Get yourself some good pain killers and wait it out till summer. It's only a couple months more. I know you're in pain, but you really don't want to be walking around school to different classes for 6 weeks on crutches when you can just wait till school is done.
