I have weird dizzy spells what could be the cause?!

Question: Not often maybe once a month i have a spell of a few minutes of feeling dizzy, dark fuzzy vision, loss of hearing, loss of balance, hot sweats and i turn very pale.

the first time it happened was when i was very young in school and i got pushed over, i went to hospital and had a checkup and i was fine.

It has occured when i have do things like stub my toe or bang my funny bone.

Also though it has happened at random with seemingly no trigger.

The last time was a couple of days ago at the dentist, they numbed my mouth, it wasnt painful at all while i was in teh waiting room waiting i felt really bad with the symptoms above it lasted about 5 minutes, when i went back into the room it had worn off but the dentist immediatly remarked i looked very pale an was i ok

Like i said it doesnt happen often but its very worrying when it does.. Any ideas what it could be?

I am sorry...other than to tell you that you REALLY should see a doctor--please don't think any of us can PRESUME to even begin to tell you what's the matter. I may sound serious with you --but that's because it is serious. This isn't something to be asking anyone here.

Obviously..you need to see a physician...First of all--we're on computers here,..where do you see a stethoscope? I don't know your blood pressure ..your pulse..your blood sugar-your heart....how could any of us know--from our computer...and what qualifies us to you--Can you see my diploma? From where--Jr high-High School.College? ..Even the few Physicians who are here--would tell you..What do you suppose my qualifications are? Am I in High School? Am I even an Adult?

You don't know do you..?

The symptoms you described are serious enough that even I, with my Bachelor's degree in Art--know you shouldn't mess around--and DO need to go to a Real Doctor --right away-because what you described is serious enough that even I can tell...

It's important enough to go--first thing when they open..OK?

You don't need our permission..People have good suggestions of what it is here--It dopes sound like youyr sugar is off--but it also sounds like some other things just as serious so it really isn't something to mess with just some strangers guesses-please go see your physician..!

diabetes maybe...?

you were dehydrated that happens to me when i don't drink enough water
the doctor said just drink a couple glasses of water after you feel that to get yourself hydrated.

Low Blood Pressure? Lack of Hydration? some ideas... or Low Blood Sugar... not nessesarily Diabetes* but need more sugar in your diet...

*=spell check

It could be "low blood sugar."

It is when your body makes too much insulin.

Try eating protein every 3-4 hours...meat, cheese, fish, eggs, almonds.

You need to get a 5-6 hour sugar test to check this out.

I have the same problem. When I was 5 I fell into my grandmother's nick-nack shelf and knock 5 teeth out and had to get stitches. They're called dropseys. Try standing up slower as sudden change in elevation my trigger it and try turning your head slower so you don't cut the blood flow off in the back of your neck by your brain (fainting). If you feel one coming on look down (it helps) and drop to your knees(it's usually safer) so you don't fall like a tree. Drink lots and lots of water (8 glasses a day) it helps regulate your body's temperature and lower your blood pressure. Consume less sodium (less/no sodas, less salts, and less processed foods which are high is sodium). Eat more protein and iron. I hope this helps you out.

It could be Hyper Tension Stress Disorder but the doctor wasn't certain on that and I didn't have insurance and ran out of money. But I hope this helps you and I wish the best for you and that you find out what it is. If you have insurence use it.

My grandma had TLA which were mini strokes from the veins in the back of her neck weren't thick enough. She'd like faint all the time but they were actually little mini strokes and she took medicine to help control them. I think my problem is somehow in someway link but that's my opinion. Good luck to you. I hope you feel better.
