If you have ever had a superficial second degree burn...how long did it take to !


Question: i burned my arm pretty bad last july...

but two different doctors said it was superficial and likely wouldn not scar...

only problem is it is still quite pink in some spots....and is taking a much longer time to heal than i thought or than i got the impression it would...

it looks so much better than it did 4 months ago...but im jsut worried it will be pink forever..

The pigmentation may take a year or longer to return. Exposure to the sun should be avoided or it will be pink forever. The new skin that replaced the burnt skin is like new baby skin. It must be protected. Topical Vitamin E oil, cream or lotion will help. Good Health To You!!

I had a third degree one...it only took 9 months or so to dissapear. Yours will go, don't worry.
