To reduce cramps you can do the following:

Work-out/stretch

If you can't or don't want to work-out, at least stretch.

Consume, calcium, magnesium, B12, 5 tablets of omega-3 fatty acid fish oil, Vit E

Drink water

Reduce salt

Avoid chocolate

Get lots of sunshine, stay positive and happy,

Ibuprofrin medications such as advil, aleve, or generic.

If they are also really bad some doctors may prescribe a Progesterone Suppository. Those are prescription though and may not be right for everyone.

The things you get cravings for such as chocolate and salty foods, are actually bad for your cramps. They can however comfort you and keep you positive.

A heating pad or electric blanket is also soothing for cramps.

You can usually tell when you are about to ovulate by taking your temperature before you get out of bed. Your temperature will reduce before ovulation and will spike immediately after. If you measure this, you an determine when you will begin cramps. Some women have had success taking ibruprofrin before their period to reduce cramps.

Best of luck. :-)

if they arent bad, and you can stand them, then working out can help reduce the pain of cramps

It's not going to hurt you to work out. In fact, the increased blood flow might help ease the pain a bit.

So really it's your call. There's no medical danger in you working out, but if you don't feel comfortable then don't.

Believe or not working out might actually help your cramps. The endorphins that your body produces during and after exercise are natural pain killers. Try it!!

It makes me feel better. Just don't overdo it if you're also nauseated, and go easy on the crunches.

yeah you should be fine, working out makes them feel better. just not too much! it can make you start to feel lightheaded/nauseated.

the more you move the faster your cramps will go away!
