Could this be an ear infection?!

Question: I woke up today and my ear feels like it has water in it, but it actually doesn't. I can hear fine out of it, but it almost feels muffled out of my left ear. I used a cue tip and it seemed like there was more wax than normal. I had a stomach ache today but didn't relate it to the ear problem. Any ideas? I'm not going to go to the doctor unless it persists.

try putting some hydrogen peroxide in it. a few times a day... it's def not a happy ear, an prolly is an infection- but try some over the counter ear drops and the hydrogen peroxide- but try to resist the urge to scrub yer ear drum with the terrible q tip!!! try ear candling (VERY HIPPYISH, but can be helpful, if your into that stuff.....)

Could be an infection. Peroide will help clear our your ear canal. If it persist more then a day with pain then I recommend you see your doctor.

It could be an ear infection, but most likely it is just some excess fluid build up related to a cold/sinus infection something along those lines... sometimes this happens to me when I feel completely fine otherwise... I've found that taking Claritin for a few days dries it up nicely, and it is a lot cheaper than going to the doctor! If that doesn't work, then I'd go but, if you try the Claritin, it should clear it up. Claritin is now over the counter and can be picked up at any wal-mart, drug store or similar place. Hope that helps! And I hope you feel better soon! =]

IF YOU FEEL YOU HAVE MORE WAX IN YOUR EAR YOU CAN PUT A FEW DROPS OF MINERAL OIL IN IT THE OIL WILL SOFTEN UP THE EXTRA WAX ,DON'T GO TOO FAR IN WHEN USING A Q-TIP. IT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A BEGINNING OF AN EAR INFECTION TO ME.

it's probably just swimmers ear, you would know if you had an ear infection.. it also just may be alot of wax buildup not allowing the fluids to pass through your ear correctly, either way go to the doctor and they can flush the wax out or give you antibiotics

doesn't sound like an ear infection to me. I had a friend that had the same thing and he finally went to the doctor cus he couldn't get it to go away and found out he had trapped water in his ear. It had something to do with the way he washed his hair. They had to flush his ear and I think he had like a minor surgery. GO TO THE DOCTOR!!! I hope it's nothing but it could be serious. How long have you had this problem?
