Can drinking water give you heartburn?!

Question: it may feel like it is, but it isnt, drinking water will dilute the acid compounds in your stomach.

Chances are your probably not drinking enough water every day. I used to have bad acid-reflux/heartburn, and used to take tagement every day and after a while it quit working.

I would even take prilosec and it would help. Finally I started drinking 8-10 glasses (water bottles) of water every day, and now, I am nearly heartburn free. (unless I eat some hot/spicy food, but taking a prilosec before hand helps)

IT will take a while for your body to get used to the water, and you will probably not see signs that you are getting better, but give it time. Try keeping a water bottle at your workstation/desk, and refil it throughout the day. Drink as many bottles as you can. Yeah your gonna go P more but that is good, its helping get rid of toxins in your body.

Good luck

No

My husband has acid reflux disease and while water does not cause him to have heartburn if he drinks water when he already has heartburn the water makes it worse.
