What's a calm way to fall asleep?!


Question: I need to know of a calm and soothing way to fall asleep so that all of my worry's go away for the moment and I can get some good sleep!

I would Take a bath And listen to some music , Then have a cup of warm tea and lie down with no tv or any noise ! Try not to think !

read a book or magazine, it will help you to relax.. try to get it as quite as possible in the room you are sleeping in.. low light also helps.

Listening to ur fave music..

The sound of a big desk fan helps me go to sleep, it takes me ages if I cant hear one.

clear your mind and regulate your breathing, or try some music

Drink some chamomile tea with lavender....you can buy those eye masks that are soft...or listen to a CD with sounds of the ocean...sleep well!!!

listen to mellow music.. turn off bright lights then turn on the lamps. you could read a good book..an inspirational one.. that way, you could fall asleep calmly. and don't forget to think of happy memories. :)

try getting a soothing nature CD and listen to that. It works for babies.

A nice warm bath and a room filled of soothing music. If you are lucky enough, someone to give you a massage.

Dangg you're lucky! I wish i had no school today! You should make your room dark and then turn on some soft music and just close your eyes.

Do you exercise? Try hitting the gym a couple of hours before you go to bed. You will fall asleep quick!

Sounds like you're probably not wanting to do sleeping pills, and I don't recomend ANY of em but tylenol pm, that one isn't a straight knock out, it relaxes you and enables you to sleep when you choose to. Besides that I could give all the blah tea or warm milk answers, but some good sex usually does it for me. :)

wash ur face with a good soap and cool water.( if bath, nothing like that)
don't allow ur mind for any thoughts to enter
just before sleep close your eyes and think of
those pleasant things u have done today
and pray the God, tell Him a small prayer and sleep.
u will have wounderful sleep.

Try reading a good book while lying in bed with just a side light on.

It works for me.

Nighty nighty

Watching a movie always puts me to sleep. Perhaps a low key movie (not horror or thriller but a nice drama or even documentary).

I also turn the music down real low on a nice mellow station when I'm not watching a movie. That helps me sleep.

Rain also puts me to sleep. For the future you might want to consider purchasing a cd of nature sounds. You can also download them over the internet.

Do what you like to do, such as your favorite hobby. It seems your brain has too much activities going on and need to be calmed down in the most soothing way.

Another thing you could do is eat a big carb meal. You will probably go to sleep in no time after that.
