Fracture Finger Needing Physical Therapy?!

Question: About 3 weeks ago in gym class, my right pinky finger was fractured. It was put in a splint and i was told 2-4 weeks in the splint. Now i am nearing 4 weeks and i am just wondering, will i need any sort of physical therapy to get all the muscles etc. working well in my finger again?

Thanks

Get yourself a stress ball and use that, the muscles/tendons will just be slightly stiff but its only 4 weeks so you shouldnt need major physio no.

The only physical therapy you'll need is what will come from normal use of your hand when the splint is removed.

As the other posters said, you most likely will not need any formal physical therapy (or occupational therapy). Your range of motion and strength should return with normal functional use. Only if you've had a tendon repair or something more invasive will you need any formal therapy...but discuss it with your doctor.
