Your not used to having your cast off yet becuase you broke two bones, from what I know you have to wait about one more month before you go back to all of your normal acvitives

Go to see an Orthopaedic doctor-he can send you to physical therapy. It takes about 6 weeks to heal completely.

Your bones will be healing for a long time--you might have ongoing discomfort for a year or so. I broke my hand last February, and it just recently stopped hurting from the cold weather.

I had the same problem as you mate a while back. Give it a couple more weeks and it shouldnt hurt.
Just gunna have to put up with it. It will be healed around 6 to 8 weeks
:)

don't let anyone shake your hand just yet! you can ask your doctor to order a follow up Xray, just call the office and explain that you are still having lots of pain-ask to speak with the nurse who works with your doctor and she can relay your message. the pain may just be a sign that your healing is not quite done, but you don't really know without the Xray. you should avoid putting too much stress on this area for a good while yet.

best wishes,
cryllie

Someone I know had the same experience and apparently the bone had come unset and they had to remove the cast and set it again. The fact that it hurts now more than when you first got it leads me to believe something is wrong. I would go to the doctor.

You may need some hand therapy and some time to let it properly heal. Don't let anyone shake your hand till it feels better. That could be doing more harm than good. If in doubt.....ask your doc to take an xray just to make sure everything it still in alignment and healing properly. Just because it has healed enough for the cast to be removed doesn't mean it's healed 100%. The area that was fractured will always be the weakest part of your hand and always the area to be at the greatest risk of being re-injured.
