Does anyone know how I can get a good night rest with acid reflex?!


Question: since I had acid reflex, I literally sleep in a vertical position everynight, and it kills my back and neck. A lot of nights I will spend 3 hours just trying to get to sleep because I am soo uncomfertable, and Im trying to find a position that my stomach, and body feel comfy in. Then I will wake up several times at night because I am laying on my back which feels comfy to my body but not my stomach!!!!!! I NEED SLEEP!!!!!! please give any suggestions

The best thing you can do is to get rid of the reflux. It's not difficult to do and you will also be digesting your food better, have more energy, and lose some of that weight around the waste or hips.

Acid reflux is due to the LACK of STOMACH ACID. When this happens, the food rots, putrefy's, and ferments in your stomach. This produces lots of LACTIC ACID that gives you that acid feeling. The fermentation gives you the gas and the bloating feeling.

Visit your local health/medical supply shop, and purchase a wedge pillow. It allows you to sleep on a slope, but still be comfortable. Also, talk to your doctor about some medication, the longer the reflux goes on, the more damage that will be done to your esophagus and Larynx.

Get yourself some Zantac (it's over the counter) or any of the generic brands of Acid Reducing Medicines available over the counter. If it still persists, you should see a doctor, as severe acid reflux can actually erode your esophagus and cause much worse problems. Also, try not to eat at least two hours before going to bed. I have been awakened in the middle of the night with reflux, so, I feel your pain. Hope this helps.
