White Spot On My Right Tonsil????!
Question: I had strep throat on January 13,2008 which was a month, a week, and a day ago. The last two days, my throat has hurt, but not like it did when I had strep throat. Last night I was feeling really sick. This morning, at school, I felt something on my tonsil with my tongue, and everytime I swallowed. I went to the restroom and looked at my throat, and my right tonsil had a white spot on it like it did when I had strep throat. I came home and showed my mom, and she was going to take me to the doctor. Since it is snowing she decided not to. Which sucks, because if I am gettin strep again, I think I need a doctor, regardless, because when I get it, I get it bad and am always out of school for 2 days or more. My right tonsil is getting bigger, and Im starting to lose my voice. What should I do?

Eat a sspoonful of crushed raw garlic....I'm not kidding...I was told to do this when I had the same thing and it was better the next day. It is yukky but you just swallow it fast with water....who cares if your breath is a bit strong as long as you get better...you can chew gum.

It could be strep back again, it could be tonsillitis. I would definitely see a doctor as soon as you can
Gargle some warm salt water for now, and try an antiseptic mouthwash. It does sound like a pus pocket which could be strep again, especially if you failed to take your whole course of antibiotics. Get lots of rest and drink lots of water. Both will help boost your immune system. good luck and heal quickly. peace
Yes, it looks like you are having strep throat again. Have your mom bring you to the doc as soon as it is safe to drive. In the meantime, gargles with warm salt water should help. Mouthwashes may also help.
