Yes it is, but make sure you see one that has dealt with pregnant women and children.
Go and see an Osteopath instead, they have the same education as MD's
An Osteopath will look at the whole picture "Why is your neck doing that"
I have just been treated for my neck pain and I can't say enough good things about her
You could also try Acupunture or Shiatshu/Tuina which are more gentle than chiro with similar results.
