It takes at least 8 weeks and depending on volume of requests, up to 6 months. It also depends on if the procedure if for a life threatening problem-these are obviously put in a higher priority,

Make sure you do NOT get the procedure done before you find out...even if the answer from OHIP is "yes", doing it before can nullify their decision.
