Question: NO!...its downright stupid to think that the public is now as informed or more informed on a medication than our doctors are just by looking at a commercial. The drug companies should save their money that they spend on advertising so that our prescription meds are cheaper! They spend billions on advertising while in the US we have the highest priced prescription meds in the world. If they want to target anyone it should be the doctors who make the decision for us in what meds we need.

yes because some people are in needs in meds. but no because people learn about them and think its ok to overdose on them.

Yes. Brand-name medications are products sold for profit like anything else. While it seems nonsensical to sell prescription drugs on television as it is the doctor who makes the decision on the kind of drug the majority of the time, it does have an effect on members of Medicare or Medicaid who have a choice between brand name and generic drugs.
No, because the advert 'implies' this will cure you or kill the pain. Those people who are not ill, will automatically be out shopping see the product and buy it, then take it and then we start having addiction problems. Advertising is just that a mean of 'enticing' you the viewer to buy, be it a car, house, holiday, new technology, gadget, or pill. They are playing into the Humans mind by telling them this is what they need. This one pill will make your life BETTER, even if you just lost both your Parents in a car crash, a weak moment in your life, chances are you will buy the pill to make you feel better. best of Luck
PS I live before TV Land, grew up without TV, can you imagine that? I did not know anything about any pills, if I was ill my Parents took me to the Doctor. I doubt back then you could by pills without a prescription!
