How much ear piercing hurts?!
Question: I am going 2 get my cartlage on the top on my ear piered and i wanna know how it feels. i know it hurts more then the regular piercing (i have 4) on my lower ear. So just give me some simalies or metiphores like for example: it hurts as much as a flu shot needle etc...

it's a completely different feeling than getting a shot or anything.
it just feels like a prick, that's it.
it will probably sting for a bit
but it doesn't really hurt.
the day that i got mine pierced, i kept pinching the area over and over again.
and i found later that day that the piercing doesn't feel like a pinch, lol.
Well it actually isn't too bad is just that the cartilage is obviously a lot thicker than the earlobe. I would compare it to being a little worse than a shot.
When i got mine done, i was too excited about it to concentrate on the pain, which wasn't bad anyway. If you already have 4 on the lower ear, the cartlage one doesn't hurt anymore than the upper 4th piercing you have. There is one drawback though, i found, and that was the fact that it gets uncomfortable to sleep on once it's healed.i guess you could always take it out. and my hair would get caught in it sometimes. but it wasn't too big a deal. I don't think it throbbed or anything after i had it done. It was fine.
I only have lobe piercings, but I just wanted to mention that you should get your piercings at a piercing shop (not at the mall with a gun!). Piercing shops sterilize their equipment and use sharp needles, as opposed to guns at the mall which can't be sterilized in an autoclave, and the blunt tip of the jewelry is what pierces you.
Getting pierced with a needle at a shop will hurt a lot less than getting it done with a gun.
