Question: A 72 hour virus has been going around. I was out of work sick last week, now this week my 5th grader has the same thing. My boss said I need an excuse stating that I took her to the doc before I can return to work. I didnt take her because theres nothing they can really do for a virus....just wait it out.I know there has to be something free out there. help!

Don't do the online thing. I can guarantee you that it won't work if your boss checks it out. The excuse would have to have your doctor's phone number on it and he could call! If it didn't, then he would not accept it if he has half a brain. Just call your doctor, explain the situation, and ask them for an excuse. Very few doctors would not write you one up once you explain to them that the kid had a virus and that is why you didn't bring them in. You'll be being honest, teaching your kid to be honest, and will not be subject to reprisal for getting caught. There is nothing to be caught for.
