Do you think my foot is broken?!

Question: i thought i knew what is what like to break a bone since i have already broken four, but when i got an x-ray, he doctor said he couldn't see anything on it. It has been three weeks and the swelling hasn't gone down and it still hurts...in fact more than it did than when i first injured it. It kinda feels like somebody is trying to keep my bone together with a bunch of pins or like it isn't properly fitting together right(like when you brake a cracker and try to put it back together aqain and it doesn't fit the exact same way..) Anyway, it really hurts and i was wondering what you guys thought.

Another thing is that when i try to put weight on my foot, it feels like there is something poking the pad inbetween my bigtoe and the one next to it.

So what do you think? is it broken?
and what do you say about the pokey feeling near my toes?

thank you!!!

I think its safe to say that you have a broken foot! Your doctor is a fool, sorry, to have left you so long in that much discomfort. get a different dr and ask for a scan not an x-ray - it sounds as if you've broken one of the littlest bones in the foot, one of the metatarsol bones and this will only show on a scan as they are tightly hidden! the feeling you're getting is the bone trying to knit itself back together and thats fine if its in line - yours obviously isn't! The feeling in the ball of your foot could be a blood vessel thats trapped in the broken fragments and that can lead to blood clots that travel and eventually....... don't mean to scare you but please go back to the hospital and have a bone scan on your foot - oh and ask for some proper painkillers - broken bones are bloody painful! Good luck.

I say "SEE A DIFFERENT DOCTOR AND GET NEW X RAYS".

How would we know if it is broken? When I broke my leg I had NO PAIN AT ALL. But my foot dropped to the side because I snapped the bones off at the ankle.

So try someone new if you are still in that much pain.

sry im not sure....but theres this website called webMD.com where u can type broken foot and it can tell u all the signs..Hope I helped! :-)

Well, if it isn't it definately isn't normal... Ice and elevate it. If it doesn't get better go back to the doctor.
