it is possible to get tattooed anywhere. boney areas are going to hurt more but they always hurt. The one above my ankle hurt worse the closer they got to the ankle bone. The ones i have on my back hurt less. good luck!

ps. dont listen to that person that said it would stop the flow of blood. that's just crazy. tattoos are on the skin..not in your veins.

Most of the time there's some pain, it really depends on your threshold for pain and the area you get tattooed, and sometimes the amount of time it takes. Yes, you can get a tattoo on the palm of your hand. It will most likely have to be retouched often as it will fade.

ofcourse and i would advice you not to get a tatoo becuase they are premenant and you migth want to take it off in the furture but you cant and where ever u get the tatoo blood wont flow in that stop becuase of the chemicals

When i got a tattoo, the only way i could describe the pain was it felt like many many cat scratches. It was more of a burning pain than a sharp pain. it was tollerable tho

you can get the palm of your hand done, but you have to know that some places will not do it there. it is a sensitive spot and the tatto will wear off VERY quicky as you use your hand a lot.

Yes it will hurt and yes you can get a tat on your hand or anywhere else there is skin.I have one where you want yours,it's a Bee and it freaks people out. lol

Pain is personal. What you might consider painful someone else might not. Some people will swear it feels like your skin is being ripped off while others (like myself) mostly feel the vibration of the needle and no real pain.

As for a tattoo on the palm of your hand beneath the thumb? It's completely do-able, though it may not stay very well. The area beneath the thumb is a high movement area. It is possible to get a tattoo there but the ink won't hold as well as an area of lesser movement. Though that also depends on your skin and body, I have seen some palm tattoos that stay perfectly and others that fade to the point of being almost gone. It also depends on ink color, a lot of people getting a tattoo with red ink will lose coloration quickly because red for some reason likes to bleed out (not actual bleeding of course), but my skin holds red well and two of my three tattoos have red that has not faded.

The best thing you can do is go to a tattoo artist and ask them. They will be able to tell you more details and maybe even give examples of tattoos in that area and discus options with you.
