I chipped my tooth also when I was younger. You just need to make an appointment with your dentist and he will make an artificial tooth just to replace the part that you are missing. They won't replace your whole tooth. If you have medical insurance, that should cover the most of the cost, so I wouldn't be too worried about that. It doesn't hurt to get it done either, so it is definitely worth it. Good luck!

you can get light cured bonding depending on the severity of the break...shouldn't be too expensive...

Honestly, does anyone's answer really make a difference. There are probably several different treatment options, none of which will be extremely inexpensive.

You need to see a dentist who can evaluate your tooth and its severity. Just because it's chipped doesn't mean that it's free of other defects. It may have a crack in it only visible via xray, or you may have an infection.

Treatment could range from a veneer to bonding or something else.

Estimate that it will cost in exess of $250.

I'm not sure of the cost. But, they will fill it with white filling so it will not look like it's been chipped. He may even give you a vineer.
