I've been sober from Meth for 1year and a half. When will my brain recover f!

Question: I started using when I was 14 and quit when i was 15 and a half. Im now 17 and sober. All that time of tweaking helped me become an excellent computer programmer, but it just wasnt worth it. Now im wondering how long until my brain un-fry's. what foods should i eat? What vitamins? Any brain-games?

Fish oil.

It promotes brain function and has lots of other healthy side effects.

I'm sorry to say it may never recover. But you can try taking a multi vitamin supliment and eat detoxifying foods like blue berrys, yogurt, cran berrys , pinapple, and even oat meal.

Good LUCK and my congrats on getting off that crap

This is a very interesting article about brain recovery from Meth use.

I think a very important thing for you to do now is to a - make sure you stay off of it (congratulations on doing so!) and b - just take care of your all around physical health. Eat a balanced diet, get lots of rest, exercise, and a multivitamin surely won't hurt!

Good luck!

It may not ever FULLY recover. Other parts of your brain can compensate for the weaker areas, but brain damage is somewhat irreversible. This is a good example of why people shouldn't start drugs in the first place b/c once the damage is done, it's done & you can't go back
