If that is the case, take him to a walk-in clinic asap.

Omg, has your husband ever had the mumps? The mumps can be gotten 3 times. Once on each side of the face, and once on both sides at the same time. I suggest you look this up in a medical book, or google the words "Mump symptoms" and see what comes up. If it isn't the mumps, then he probably just has a bad virus that attacks the glands. I really hope he feels better soon. I know how bad having swollen glands can hurt.

Is it affecting his breathing?
If it is go to the E.R.
If not just try maybe a throat spray, like chloraseptic.
Also even though your Dr's office is not open, call his office. There should be a number to call.
Try that!
Ref: Prior er secretary. Know all doctors have a way to reach them.

Swollen glands are nothing to mess with, make sure he sees his doctor asap.
