Why do my hands cramp up, its like they sieze up and I can't open them?!

Question: My hands will feel all tingly, then I can't open them back up. they don't cramp up in a fist, but my fingers stay straight and kinda fold over each other. Its uncomfortable, not painful, and very scary. I feel like theres something seriously wrong with my system. My heart rate also increases big time. And my breathing becomes irregular. Whats going on?

OMG! My hands and heart do the same exact thing when my potassium is reaaly low.I have to take potassium pills because my doctor says you can die from low potassium because that is what makes your heart beat.I've been hospitalized a few times because my potassium was so low and trust me,if you have to get it thru an iv it burns like hell.Maybe you should visit your doctor and have it checked.Good luck and let me know. ; )

Have you been evaluated for carpal tunnel or Dupuytren's contracture? Your symptoms are indicative of either but mainly the latter.

I have the very same problem, there are three reasons One you have dupatrons contracture which reguires a small surgery at the base of your fingers. two you may have arthritus and finally you may have carpal tunnel, witch also require surgery on the inside of the wrist. Go to google and learn about the surgery, and pls see your Dr. there is help

should see a doctor. .,but mine does that too , i use hot wax treatment, helps
