How to ease ear infection pain?!

Question: For months now I have had migraines but my parents never bothered to let me check it out with the doc, until last Wednesday to get a scan of my head. Immediately after the scan I felt another migraine. Last Thursday, I woke up to find out I had a bad sore throat. It hurt so much that I could not eat or drink, and even swallow my saliva. Then today when I woke up, I still had the sore throat with a bad pain in my right ear. This is the 1st time I had pain in my ear, and it felt like it was stuffed up with cotton while hurting really bad inside. My dad checked it out and proceeded to scoop out the goops of wax inside with q-tips dipped in some oil, but that didn't help. It just hurts so much I feel like ripping my ear out. Is there any way to ease the pain? (besides Tylenol) Also I can't see the doctor till Monday, but I can't stand the pain any longer. Heat doesn't seem to work.

Also, do my migraines or sore throat have anything to do with causing my ear infection?

Any infection in the head (sinus, ear, etc.) can trigger migraines. Try an antiinflammatory like Motrin or Aleve, they seem to work better than Tylenol.

The worse thing you can do is stick a Q-tip in your ear canal that only pushes the wax futher down.Try using a hot pack for the ear pain and yes your ears nose and throat are all connected so that's probably why you are getting a soar throat also.
