Why do I feel friendlier when I'm on vicodin?!
Question: I have to take Vicodin for my broken ankle. I always feel so much friendlier when I'm on it!!! Is there a reason for that?
Also, what happends if I take it, with no food in my stomach? Because yesterday, I hadn't had any food. My lips and face got very pale, and I was getting hot - just by sitting there. Could that be why?

It's a narcotic and you don't worry about things or feel as much so all the pain and worry you normally feel is gone so you aren't as bogged down. Kind of like when you drink alcohol. Enjoy it while you got it.
It's good to have at least a full glass of milk or a couple pieces of toast in your stomache. Without food the medicine can really burn-out your system.
Make sure you see your doctor and tell him of those side effects! Your symptoms could indicate cardio or circulartory problems. It's very important they know! Only a doctor is qualified to accurately access your symptoms and evaulate treatment.

You feel a lot of things when you're on vicodin. Follow the instructions on the prescription.

if your not used to it...it can give you sort of a ''high'' feeling,,,some people take it for that reason

I would take it with food, and with high fiber food if you can manage- one of the side effects is constipation.
It lowers your inhibitions just like alcohol. But be careful it also lowers your judgment too. Also, it can constipate you.
vicodin mellows people out and makes them less anxious in social situations. this is why you feel more communicative. if you take it without food in your tummy you will upset the stomach...the pill gets dissolved right into your stomach lining and into the blood too quickly and makes you nauseated, dizzy, and hot (a lot of times people will dry heave or puke). also, vicodin is highly addictive, so only use it as long as you need to!
be careful with that stuff you can become addicted to it, use only for extreme pain its a drug that will give you a high so be careful
Vicodin is used to relieve pain (analgesic)...
I'm guessing here, but maybe because it relieves the pain from you're broken ankle.

its a feel good pill...most everybody wants a vicodin...makes you high and carefree. and i beat you your bottle saids take with food and drink plenty of water.and don't operate heavy machinery..use caution!!!!follow directions...
because its an addicting opiate medication in the same class of drugs as heroin.
