Am i dying? please help me!?!

Question: Ok, i spent 4 hours with a candle burning while i was working in my tiny bedroom, with the door closed and no windows open . It felt really cold in the house so it didn't stike me as odd when my lips were a tadd blue. When about to brush my teeth, i spit out black in the sink. This freeked me out.. i looked online and searched "black spit". The search results were alot about pepto-bismol (which has happened to me before). The difference though was that it wasn't chalkly black stuff on my toungue it was from my throat, like when you do a "lugi"(i haven't taken pepto-b 4 a year)I typed "smoke inhalation" and the decsriptions mached: i was having a horrible feeling in my throat, my upper abdominal hurt, black spit, blue lips. But i don't know if i'm just acting like a hypochondriac because in most of the articles online that i read, were talking about how people who are in like huge fires get it. I was wondering if it's possible to get smoke inhalaion from a candle? (because it has PM).

Yes you can get smoke inhalation from a candle especially in a small airless space. The good news is that you would have to stay there for a lot longer than 4 hours to do any real damage. And can I suggest you stop looking up symptoms on the net it is only making you anxious. If you want to know something about your health ask someone who knows like the Doctor.

The candle would have to be seriously close to your mouth for that t happen. Check with a doctor ASAP.

I don't think you could get that from a candle. Unless you ate something like and oreo cookie, you should go to the doctor if the symptoms persist. Feel weel soon.

Yes it is, that is what caused your spit to be black, from the smoke off the candle, I really don't know about the blue lips, cause it would take a lot of candle, to do this, unless your room is very very small , when burning candles, it can also produce toxic fumes, so you need some ventilation... Be careful with your candles.

Most likely the fumes from the candle were inhaled and were in your throat until you spit out and the tar came up. Don't do it again and make sure you rinse your mouth well
