How can you sleep with a neck brace?!

Question: My mom just out of the blue started having neck pains last week, and before you know it th pain spread to her left arm. She now has to wear a neck brace and stay still.

She complains she cant sleep, and shes in pain everytime she tries. I heard that you're supposed to sleep upright but I'm not sure.

Please help with any sugestions or past experiences you've had.

Only on her back-Have her get her doc gat some light pain meds,and something to help her sleep for a few days then her body will get used to it
