Question: ok, i smashed my finger yesterday, and it instantly turned black and blue. and under the nail, its purple and blue. i think ima lose my nail, but i dont want to. i noe i should've gone to the doctors, to have them put a hole in my nail so i wouldnt lose it, but i didnt think it would get this bad. like u cant even see the true color of my nail anymore on that finger... is there any at home remidies that r safe that i can do so i dont lose my nail? i've considered taking a lancit(the thing diabetics use to test their blood, my dad has them since he is diabetic) and having either my mom or dad poke thro my nail real quick to jus get it over with and then make sure that its all clean. but if there another way? cuz i kinda dont want to do it, but i will if it means i can keep my nail..... please help!

Oh. this happened to me last year. Its going to be fine. your nail will come off but a new one grows back in like 1 day.. And i didnt go to the doctor...But when my nail came off there was a nail under it, so you'll be fine...

no you shouldnt do anything to it yourself, go to the doctors, they are the ones that know how to deal with it, you dont want to make things worse.
