before you try anything,outside of rest,ice and heat.you may want to get it checked out as you may of tore a muscle,bruised a muscle,sprained,joint damage.Continued over exhaustion to the same injured area.

Hot water bottle wrapped in a towel placed on the shoulder. If it persists go see your doctor or maybe a physiotherapist.
