Bruised ribs- what should I be feeling? What should I worry about?!

Question: I was in a car wreck yesterday and have some bruised ribs on my left side. Today it seems harder to breath and is still very sore. Is this normal? What are symptoms I should worry about?

You should worry about passing out. Cause then I can come out of your closet and have my way with you.

pain

your sides should be very sore to the touch and laying on your sides would be painful. Don't roll around too much or they might break (if they're cracked at all)

are you sure they are just bruised and not broken.

yes, it's normal to feel pain while breathing. don't mind the weirdo who made the lame 'pain' answer just to get a point. try not to breathe too heavily. try using cold compress at times, and take pain reliever at night so you can sleep better. yes, it may get a bit worse over the next 2 - 3 days, and it will gradually disappear. just try not to stress that part too much, like picking up stuff or crouching is real bad..ask help instead of putting yourself into more trouble.
it'll go away eventually, don't worry. in the meantime, just think of the stuff you can do when you're already well.
get lots of rest, dear, and get well soon! :)

Bruised ribs are painful but that nothing com paired to the pain you well get if you have a cold and start coughing, the pain really bad.Take care not to get one,and don't sneeze.
