CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU.FANTASTIC ACHIEVEMENT.

How about the Adult Education Centre for brushing up the skills you already have or for learning new ones.
Go swimming.
Get on your push bike.
How about power walking - or even perhaps going to feed the ducks.
Join the library.

Of course I don't know you but it doesn't stop me from thinking how clever you are!
Good luck for the future and stay strong....You get my star...xxx

Do something extremely different to what you usually do. Exhillirate yourself..

Well done! Find a club to join like a sport club or find a hobby. Look around for things you might find a new passion that you love!!

get a hobby man to take things off your mind

Get a job. Seriously. It will be the next step to having self worth and you wll not feel the need to return to drugs and heavy drinking.

Work nights, you only get chance to drink weekends as its hard to get a social life in the week

Well done to you...........get out there and join a club or do a course to keep your mind occupied and meet new people along the way

Similar problem here, and I have found normal cigarettes to help me quite a bit, although online gaming can keep me occupied, i dont find films or tv a help because I like to drink whilst watching, but smoking has helped and find something you like doing that takes lots of concentration such as a fast action game or whatever your into. Also get your friends to help, they will relieve boredom and help you stay sane...

Good luck and keep off it :)

Get a job/hobby/girlfriend, anything that will keep you away from the drink and drug culture in this country. So don't take up pool or darts or get a job in the building trade or as a priest. And don't date Amy Whinehoose! I don't mean to sound facetious it just makes sense to change your lifestyle not to include these things.

Sex

If you're not to old get something like a console, e.g. xbox 360, it tends to keep you occupied trying to find out which is the best one, and when you finally get it you can play great games on it that will keep you occupied.

If that's not a option try something simple like jogging, or even join a gym if you have the energy for it!

i take my hat off to ppl like you WELL DONE.join a gym. take up pool or snooker .i wish you all the best

Meet up with friends for coffee & not for drinks, so you maintain your social network.
PS: Well done! :)

Well done, Why not join a bowling Club, meet people, and give your self an outlet, good luck.

First of all well done for cleaning up!
Maybe find your self a hobby or an interest to keep your self busy, try to mix with an other group of mates too.
Well done again, keep it up,and best of luck.

Can't stay clean and sober if you just "cut down" on the booze. Sounds like you need to make a decision first if you want to be clean and TOTALLY sober.

funny how people assume you are not in employment when you mention drugs or alcohol!

well done - boredam im sure has a great deal to do with why people drink or take drugs.

join chat rooms, discussions - answer peoples questions on here - im sure you could give advice to other people who may want help giving up drink or drugs?

take care

good for you ,, do something really mind blowing like bungie jumping or do something cool like that because its definately not boring =] xxx

just stick with it, you will find enjoyment in other things after a while...perhaps go gym or play squash or badminton with your work mates or friends....thats what i ended up doing...i still drink quite heavy sometimes but i dont get much enjoyment from that anymore.

You have obviously done a great job, however, a greater job remains to be done ; that is, to stay away from drinks and drugs. First, you must change your social circles by not seeying your old friends and keep away from the old places you used to go. Second, you must change your usual habits of spending your spare times. find new hobbies find new friends all in all, you should become another person and stay that way until no memory of drugs or alcohol remains with you.
it is tough but possible. good luck.

Well done mate, If I were you i'd start a class or become a mature student and do a degree you're interested in. Takes a lot of time off and can be done part time. Or you could buy a PS3.....
