Infected only after two days?!

Question: Hi! I just pierced my nose two days ago. The place where i went cleaned the needle and my nose very well. But right after piercing it I did the stupid thing of taking it off ( OUCH) and it bled :( So i cleaned off the blood and went right away to put it back in.... that really hurt and i had to force >.< It was very red around it! It was red yesterday but even less then when I perced it. When I woke up this morning i headed right away to clean it and white puss came out! :( Its still red around.... but its not swollen and it does not hurt when i poke it ( unless i poke it hard...) So i just cleaned it and im very scared its an infection! Do you think it is?

Pus is a collection of infection fighting cells; it may be simply from the inflammation but you may have a minor infection.

This can be simple misfortune or from not sterilizing the equipment well.

If it is an infection, you may want to see your GP to get some topical antibiotics. Leave it a day or two first as it may simply be your body protesting at having a new hole in your nose ;)
