Broken Back?!

Question: My Grandad recently broke his back and after a long spell in the hospital he was sent home.

But we are unsure as to what is best for him:
should he stay in bed?
how long for?
should he be walking around?

any advice from anyone who has had something like this would really help

walk as much as possible. I have a bad back and to lay around was the worse thing I did as it made it worse. the more you work with your back the better you will be. I went a chriopacter and he really did alot for me. if you go to a chriopacter he will get you on the right path becuase your back isn't just your back as you have nerves that get affected and also your discs. those discs control many things in your body and if you don't keep working with your back then you will have more problems than expected. also what you eat right now is very important. make sure you have a good diet and take proper vitamins daily.

There is no way for you to convey to us his true condition. You need to talk to his doctor, or the hospital where he was treated for follow-up care tips.

Best of luck on his recovery!

He should have gotten discharge papers from the hospital that stated what he should and shouldn't do.. refer to them
